Hot Spiced Mulled Cider
Make your apple cider extra flavorful.
Ingredients:
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 1 large orange cut into 1/4 inch slices
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole star anise
- 1 TBSP whole cloves
- 1 inch of ginger root, sliced
- Booze optional (brandy or spiced rum)
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for a total of 2-3 hours. Would probably also work well in a slow cooker, I would guess about 5-6 hours on low, but I haven't yet tried it.
- Add alcohol to your individual tastes if you should choose.
