Grape-Basil Mocktail

An alternative to a boozy summer.

Makes 1 drink.

Ingredients:

  • 12 Basil leaves
  • 5 green grapes
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Seltzer water or sparkling water

Instructions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle basil leaves and lime juice. Once thoroughly muddled, add green grapes and muddle some more.
  2. Add simple syrup and add ice to cocktail shaker.  Shake until well chilled.
  3. Strain into cocktail galas and top with a couple ounces seltzer or sparkling water.  (Original recipe states 1-2 ounces.  I likely did about 3)
  4. Ice optional, as it is pre-chilled.  I used ice to help fill glass.  Garnish with lime wedges if desired.

Sorry for my crooked photo, but this is how it looked pre-straining!
